Mission Statement:

Preparing hands to serve the community and feet to serve the world with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

FCA Philosophy:

With low student/teacher ratios, students at Foundation Christian Academy are taught in a Christian learning environment using challenging and varied curriculum. Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Art, Physical Education, Library, Music, and Theatre classes are taught to compliment a variety of learning styles. Honors courses are available for middle and high school students. Dual enrollment courses are an option for high school students who meet specific requirements.

In addition to fostering intellectual, social, and physical development, FCA also nurtures spiritual growth. Foundation is preparing students to embrace life’s challenges by confidently walking with the Lord. Our curriculum is centered on Biblical principles and moral values.

Faith Statement:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We believe in one Deity who exists eternally in three persons as God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit; the creator of all things, visible and invisible, in the heavens and on the earth, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of each person, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1, 21:33; Isaiah 40:28; Exodus 33:14; John 4:24; Revelation 4:8; Romans 11:33-34; Jeremiah 32:17; Ephesians 1:19-20, 3:9; Jeremiah 31:3; Romans 5:8; II Samuel 24:14; I John 5:14-15)

We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ the Savior, the only begotten Son of God, in His deity, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood. In His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His continual intercession for His people, and in His personal return in power, glory, and judgment. (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, 24:30; Mark 8:38, 16:19; Luke 1:34-35, 24:27; John 1:1, 2, 14, 18, 2:11, 3:16, 10:33, 11:25; Acts 1:11; Hebrews 4:15, 2:9, 7:26; Romans 3:23-26, & 8:34; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 19:11)

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, the Helper, and Comforter, in His daily guidance and revelation of truth, in His conviction of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and in His indwelling presence at the moment of salvation, enabling believers to live godly lives. (John 3:5-8, 14:16-17, & 16:13-14; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:30-32, & 5:18)

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace are we saved. Faith shows itself in obedience to Christ through repentance, confession of faith in Him, baptism, and a life led by the Holy Spirit, manifesting the Spirit’s fruit. (John 3:16–19, 5:24; Acts 2:38; Romans 3:23, 5:8– 9; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5)

We believe that the church is the body of Christ and is composed of the communities of Christ’s people. The task of Christ’s people in this world is to be God’s redeemed communities that embody His love by worshiping God with confession, prayer, and praise in spirit and truth; by proclaiming the gospel of God’s redemptive love through our Lord Jesus Christ. To the ends of the earth by word and deed; by submitting to the authority of the Bible, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, rather than the dictates of man or ecclesiastical order. By caring for all of God’s creation; and actively seeking the good of everyone, especially the poor and needy. (1 Corinthians 12:12-31)

This Statement of Faith is not exhaustive of all our beliefs. The FCA Board of Trustees reserves the right to make a decision about beliefs not found in this declaration by using the inspired word of God regarding the application of faith, policy, and practice.
